Rude Mechanicals is the collaborative spirits project born from decades in the wine industry - bringing together a winemaker's palate with the world-class expertise of master distillers to create uniquely well-made drinks.
Vineyard Gin is their first: conceived in a vineyard, born in a barn, and distilled from fine wine and English spirit, fused with a clutch of hand-picked botanicals. Double distilled in 200-litre copper alembics, it's the result of three specialist artisans working in true collaboration.
Made from scratch using wine from Henners' own vineyards and Dr John Walters' original spirit base, the gin's intensity comes from a second distillation - where hand-selected botanicals are distilled directly into the spirit, rather than compounded conventionally. Only the hearts of both distillations are used, giving Vineyard Gin its remarkably smooth finish.

A botanical compôte of juniper, mandarin flesh, cardamom, clementine peel, lemon zest and wine. A gin that tastes like a gin - just a really good one.
Serve
Best sipped from a heavy tumbler with a single cube of ice, or with a generous measure of your favourite tonic, plenty of ice, a clutch of gently squeezed black grapes and a fresh basil leaf.
