Brighton born and coal fired, Tallow Street Food serve bold, seasonal cooking with serious flame at its heart. Built from a love of great produce and Brighton’s buzzing food scene, Tallow nods to tradition in name, but their food is anything but old fashioned.

Everything is cooked over coals, so you smell the smoke before you reach the hatch. Menus shift constantly, shaped by the seasons, local suppliers and whatever deserves its moment over the fire that week. One visit might mean steak on a stick with salsa verde, the next an XL beef dog with coal roasted corn. No static menu, no shortcuts.

They champion local sourcing, working closely with Sussex producers including Barfields Butchers, known for free range, naturally reared meat from small farms across the county. The result is big flavour, nose to tail street food, rooted in Sussex and kissed by fire.
